ABOUT US
Twilight Turkey Trot Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held on November 17, 2018, from 3pm to 6 pm and we are seeking your support to help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 for The Purposeful Nurse Foundation. Entering its 5th consecutive year, the Twilight Turkey Trot continues to be not only a major fundraiser for The Purposeful Nurse, but also fun way to get fit while bringing families and communities together. This family-friendly event regularly sees a healthy turnout from the metropolitan area and surrounding communities who come out to help support our cause.
With new and constant changes in health care, your sponsorship is especially vital to help offset the costs of copays, spend-downs and caregiver burdens that our citizens encounter. Your support in the form of sponsorship of the Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk allows you to contribute directly to easing the burden that care gaps place on our community. Proceeds from the Run are returned to our community by supporting the initiatives of other agencies as well as alleviating or minimizing the gaps in care that negatively impact quality of life.
From the small inaugural run in 2013 to the annual event today that brings together an entire community, the Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk has seen many changes. For this upcoming year, that tradition continues with the rollout of re-engineering the Run. Focus this year is primarily on improving operational management while also maximizing the overall event experience for our growing number of participants. On behalf of the Twilight Turkey Trot Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk and the local public we represent, we invite you to become a sponsor of our largest community fundraiser. Each sponsor who makes a tax-deductible contribution to the event is assured maximum exposure to the local community. All in attendance will be well aware of your generous support through a broad range of media coverage. We look forward to your support!

ABOUT OUR MISSION
The Purposeful Nurse was formed by nurses after seeing so many gaps in health care that have only become larger. Though many of the patients we encounter have some form of healthcare, it’s simply not enough. It is not enough health care benefits to keep that patient safe at home, in good control of their disease, living a quality life. We find our citizens with copays and spend downs they can’t afford. We find our neighbors with a host of medications but with no resources to afford to eat a diet that supports the efforts. We find care givers whose lives are in shambles as they try to care for others but are unable to fully care for themselves. The Purposeful Nurse will work with other agencies and advocates to bridge the gaps that are plaguing our communities.
